THE CORSET JACKET

KENDALL JENNER DEBUTS LA PERLA’S REDEFINITION OF THE MODERN SUIT

Sensual, Beautiful, Comfortable - The Corset Jacket reworks the concept of tailoring through innovative craftsmanship and La Perla’s devotion to dressing women how they want to feel.
Designed by Julia Haart, Creative Director of La Perla, the Corset Jacket is the standout style in a collection that promises liberation from constrictive clothing. Kendall Jenner debuts this revolutionary piece, adding a youthful, sultry mood to an essential item that translates seamlessly into every area of a woman’s life, from boardroom to evening. This campaign image, photographed by Steven Klein, sees Kendall streaked in rays of light, their precise edges emphasising the jacket’s sleek silhouette. Behind her, an x-ray image of an antiquated corset and its effect on its wearer offers an artful contrast against the comfort of Haart’s contemporary creation.
The support of built-in cups eliminates the need for a bra, allowing the jacket’s sumptuous bi-stretch wool to sit against the skin in a single layer, like lingerie. Elegant hook and eye fastenings create an intimate allure, while finely tailored darts maintain the feel of a sophisticated suit. Sized according to the bust, the Corset Jacket represents Julia Haart’s vision to echo La Perla’s unparalleled knowledge of the female form throughout the ready-to-wear collection.

THE S/S 2017 ADV CAMPAIGN

KENDALL JENNER, ISABELI FONTANA AND LIU WEN

Shattered glass, a bra bursting into flame, an antiquated corset. These symbolic images have been chosen by American photographer Steven Klein to underline the key concept of the new La Perla SS17 campaign: The liberation of every woman from the need to suffer for beauty.

This style revolution begins with the body - following its natural movements with luxurious materials, expertly crafted in comfortable stretch and crease-free finishes. Born from La Perla’s deep understanding of how to enhance and celebrate the female form, SS17 accentuates with beautiful contours.

La Perla’s lingerie, ready-to-wear and beachwear collections for Spring/Summer 2017 are brought to life through Steven Klein’s masterful lens. This explosive visual message of sensuality and freedom is embodied by the season’s three personalities:

Kendall Jenner is the new star of this campaign. Personally selected by La Perla’s creative director, Julia Haart, Kendall fluently interprets our highly innovative path. Adding her unique, self-assured elegance and contemporary charisma, Kendall highlights the modernity of each piece she wears.

Isabeli Fontana brings her Latin allure to La Perla for the second time, invigorating the garments with her classic mystique and celebrating curves as a symbol of female identity.

Liu Wen renews her role as ambassador of the La Perla lifestyle in the Far East, revealing a more intense and sensual side in figure-framing silhouettes.

GWYNETH PALTROW WEARS LA PERLA'S CORSET JACKET

A sophisticated look for the opening of goop GIFT

La Perla’s Spring/Summer ’17 collection exhibits an innovative approach to dressing – tailored yet feminine, comfortable yet sensual. Designed by Julia Haart, La Perla’s Creative Director, this season’s Corset jacket is the epitome of these elements.

Gwyneth Paltrow debuts this important piece, along with matching leggings and calfskin pumps, also by La Perla. The occasion was the ‘Goop and La Perla Celebrate the Opening of goop GIFT’ dinner on Wednesday, November 30th 2016 in Los Angeles, California.

This key suiting concept from the new Ready-to-wear collection represents Haart’s vision to fuse La Perla’s unparalleled knowledge of the female form with the liberating concept of not suffering for beauty: creating beautiful clothes that are never restrictive or uncomfortable.

The Corset jacket takes on a lingerie feeling, with the support of internal cups, under-bust seams, sophisticated hook and eye fastenings and the fine shaping of tailored darts. Crafted in bi-stretch wool, its soft texture feels incredible against the skin and it can be worn as single layer, without the need for a bra. Designed with the contours of the body in mind, it has a superb fit and should be selected according to bust size.

THE NEW GINZA BOUTIQUE

LA PERLA OPENS ITS SECOND FLAGSHIP STORE IN TOKYO

La Perla is excited to announce the opening of its new boutique in Tokyo’s Ginza district, just a few months after the opening of the Aoyama flagship store.

The design project was entrusted to the acclaimed Italian architectural studio, Baciocchi Associati, who have delivered the creative concepts for all of the new La Perla boutiques. This second Tokyo opening confirms Japan as a strategic area in La Perla’s retail expansion plan, carried forward by Pacific Global Management, led by Silvio Scaglia.

Spread across 200m2 on two floors, the Ginza boutique is inspired by classic Italian architecture, reflected in the store’s five-arch façade covered in golden metallic mesh. The use of golden mesh continues throughout the space and is evocative of the delicate weave of tulle. It is these intricate tulle threads that gave birth to the first La Perla creations and this design element echoes the brand’s heritage with intriguing light effects and a captivating atmosphere.

The interior design reflects our elegant style, with refined shades of amethyst used on the rugs and the velvet panels that cover the walls. Garments are displayed in transparent cases, on gilded metal hangers, on mannequins housed in caged structures or presented to customers on velvet-lined trays.

A staircase with a crystal balustrade and panels in backlit mesh connects the two floors where women's and men's lingerie and underwear, nightwear, beachwear and ready-to-wear collections are displayed. In addition to this, the accessories that represent the brand’s new lifestyle dimension are available.

JULIA HAART

LA PERLA WELCOMES ITS NEW CREATIVE DIRECTOR

La Perla has chosen Julia Haart as the new Creative Director debuting with the Spring/Summer 2017 season.
The designer's creative scope marries perfectly with La Perla's brand heritage and identity, bringing on a strong female perspective true to the vision of the founder Ada Masotti.
As Creative Director, Julia Haart will oversee all lingerie, nightwear, beachwear, menswear and accessory lines, as well as a new ready-to-wear collection to be presented in Milan in September 2016, during Milan Fashion Week.

THE PROTAGONISTS OF THE F/W 16/17 ADV CAMPAIGN

VALERY KAUFMAN, SASHA LUSS AND LIU WEN

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the photographers who brought into focus La Perla’s most recent advertising campaigns with the intensity of their creative vision, have turned their lenses to highlight the elegance and sensuality of the new creative spirit of the FW 2016-17 collection.

Lingerie, beachwear, nightwear, bags, shoes and accessories are featured in black-and-white shots alongside images on backgrounds in shades from nude to powder rose to echo the tones of the collection.
The key elements that stand out from the collection are the "Autografo" pieces, the swimtimate creations and the exclusive techniques that represent the style codes of the La Perla brand.

The narrative thread running through the shots blossoms through a desire to present a conscious and spontaneous femininity. Valery Kaufman, Sasha Luss and Liu Wen rise to the challenge of portraying both heritage and the height of luxe alongside the contemporary and avant-garde style that cuts through each piece.

Valery Kaufman reveals a magnetic and effortless charm enhanced by the pieces that seem to blend seamlessly with the body. "Optical illusions are my favourite theme in this collection" - comments Valery - "and I like the freedom of being able to wear the pieces at different times of day."

The fresh allure and luminosity created by Sasha Luss tells of a new expressive phase for the brand. "I was really pleased to participate in the shoot for this collection" - says Sasha - "because I found it was in harmony with my own way of being. It's creative, light. And also very sexy."

Liu Wen has been confirmed as model-spokesperson, particularly for the Far East where she is an ambassador of La Perla style. Mert & Marcus reveal a particularly natural and intense side to the Chinese supermodel. Lui Wen observed that "This collection has the elegance and sensuality of La Perla style but at the same time I feel a new energy running through it."

MIA VANITY TABLE

MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2016

La Perla participates in the Fuorisalone, during the 2016 Milan Design Week, presenting the Mia vanity table designed by Walter Terruso. Inspired by the brands founding values of sensuality, elegance, and preciousness, Mia will be on display in the windows of La Perla’s Milan via Montenapoleone flagship boutique from April 12th to 17th, 2016.
Mia’s design concept combines the geometric elegance of an oversized round mirror covered in plissé silk, with the delicate fine lines of a glass and brass table structure. Maple wooden accents add to the modernity and timelessness of the La Perla creation. The silk, also covering the back of the vanity table’s mirror, becomes le trait d’union with pouf Esprit d’Atelier, presented by La Perla during the 2015 edition of Milan Design Week.
The vanity table will be displayed in the Private Lounges and windows of the most important La Perla flagships stores as Tokyo, New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong.

THE FASHION-SHOW PARTY IN TOKYO

LA PERLA CELEBRATES THE AOYAMA FLAGSHIP STORE PRESENTING THE FW 2016-17 COLLECTION

The opening of the new flagship store in the Aoyama fashion district in Tokyo has been celebrated with the presentation of the Fall Winter 16/17 Collection in the modern venue of Tabloid space. A fashion show inserted into a contemporary, clean-lined installation of digital and live action focused the attention on the stylistic vision of the new Creative Director, Pedro Lourenço: his architectural approach to dressing the body, the optical illusions that make functional elements appear to float, the complex motifs disappear into seemingly bare skin.
At the end of the fashion show the queen of Japanese pop singers, Ayumi Hamasaki, participated at the Grand Opening party as special guest. To celebrate the new Tokyo flagship store, Ayumi collaborated with La Perla on an exclusive photoshoot wearing the brand’s most iconic pieces.
These portraits, lensed by ND Chow, have been exhibited as a preview in the Hong Kong boutique and will be sold to benefit two local charities at an auction in the new Aoyama boutique.

AYUMI HAMASAKI WEARS LA PERLA

A NEW EPISODE OF THE COLLABORATION BETWEEN THE BRAND AND THE JAPANESE POP STAR

The Japanese pop star Ayumi Hamasaki was the special guest of the party celebrating the opening of the new Tokyo flagship store. The collaboration between the brand and the superstar singer blossomed from mutual appreciation and Ayumi told WWD Japan magazine “I would like to add to my personal La Perla collection because I'm constantly drawn to this brand”. Ayumi has worn La Perla garments for numerous music videos and concerts, like the La Perla Neoprene Desire look in red for her COUNTDOWN LIVE 2015-2016 MADE IN TOKYO performance.

From this collaboration an exclusive photoshoot was born, lensed by ND Chow, with Ayumi wearing the brand’s most iconic pieces. These images, that were previewed on February 2016 in the Hong Kong boutique, will be displayed in the Aoyama flagship store until 5 April and then sold at an auction to raise money for two local charities.

PEDRO LOURENÇO

THE BRAZILIAN DESIGNER APPOINTED CREATIVE DIRECTOR AT LA PERLA

La Perla is pleased to announce the appointment of Pedro Lourenço as Creative Director. The Brazilian designer will offer his first La Perla collection for the Fall/Winter 2016 season.

Young, focused and with a fiercely contemporary sense of style, Pedro Lourenço is known for the timeless elegance and architectural precision of his creations, which are based on a sincere appreciation of traditional dressmaking. His taste for craft and modern sense of femininity are a perfect match for La Perla.

Pedro Lourenço will be responsible for the lines of lingerie, sleepwear, beachwear, loungewear, accessories, menswear as well as the Atelier collection, the most exclusive expression of the La Perla style. Lourenço will lead the company’s design team in building a global lifestyle proposition based on the Extended Intimacy concept.

“I have always admired La Perla” - says Pedro Lourenço - “I am fascinated by the early days of the brand: a small atelier focusing on corsetry made to the highest standards and designed to enhance the beauty of women. The founder, Ada Masotti, a visionary woman, was aware of the fact that fashion was constantly being revolutionized and lingerie had to change with it. In her universe, modernity walked hand-in-hand with femininity and functionality did not preclude creativity. She changed the way the world thinks of lingerie. I am amazed by the philosophy she created and I want to bring it back today.”

"The talent, style and creative maturity of Pedro Lourenço are the reasons of our choice” - says La Perla Chairman Silvio Scaglia - “His approach and style relate to our founding values and reflect the path overtaken by the brand in the last two years. The sartorial excellence and sensibility for the female body combined with a quest for innovation are pillars of La Perla and match the skills and talent of this young designer. La Perla, together with Pedro Lourenço, will blur the boundaries between lingerie, beachwear and outerwear, extending its natural focus on sensuality, elegance and preciousness".

Pedro Lourenço was born to fashion designer parents and launched his own label at the surprising age of 15. In March 2010, his women's ready to wear collection was presented for the first time at the Paris Fashion Week, to great reviews.

THE NEW FLAGSHIP STORE IN TOKYO

IN THE HEART OF AOYAMA, A BOUTIQUE SPREAD OVER THREE FLOORS WITH GLASS WALLS AND GOLDEN MESH

La Perla has opened its new flagship store in the Aoyama fashion district in Tokyo. Located in a building that has an irregular shape and was built entirely in glass, the boutique was entrusted to the Italian architectural studio, Baciocchi Associati. The exclusive concept treats the space as a single gallery, featuring a continuous theme across the floors and displaying products in precious structures which become works of art in themselves.
A key architectural element of the interior is a golden metallic mesh inspired by the weave of tulle, whose intricate threads give birth to the La Perla creations.
The boutique’s interior spreads dynamically across 380 m2 divided into three floors. Clients are immersed in a striking space inhabited by large fibreglass spheres – pearled outside and chrome within – that contain mannequins and structures to display the garments. The sense of contemporary lightness created by these 'display pearls' is enhanced by the flooring and stairs in white marble, plexiglas modules for hanging pieces, and spherical fitting rooms.
The men's collections are situated upstairs while the lower floor is dedicated to the women's collections, presented in multi-faceted rooms, separated by backlit metallic-mesh walls in soft tones such as pink, lilac and sky blue. This intimate and feminine atmosphere culminates in the Private Lounge, designed like a spherical treasure box in luxurious lilac.

FROM BARCELONA TO SEOUL

10 NEW BOUTIQUES IN 4 MONTHS

Ten new boutiques open in four months. From the exclusive flagship store in Cheongdam Road, the most exclusive fashion street in Seoul, to that on the Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona, and from the American boutiques in Houston, Miami Bal Harbour and Chicago to the new stores in Beijing and Sanya in China. Without forgetting the large outlet in Reggello, Tuscany. And in October, it will be the turn of the prestigious 600 m2 single-brand store in Russel Street, the heart of chic in Hong Kong.
Italian architect, Roberto Baciocchi created the concept for all the new boutiques, offering an immediately recognisable image for the retail-chain consolidation and expansion plan which represents a cornerstone of La Perla's current strategy.
The facade reflects elements of great Italian architecture the inspiration which guided architect Roberto Baciocchi punctuated with six arches and finished in sodalite blue marble. The internal space is divided into octagonal rooms dedicated to the La Perla women's and men's collections.
The fitting rooms are marked out by panels in polished steel mesh, which evoke the weave of tulle, and these backlit elements are also used on the steps leading up to the first floor. Here, there are two Private Lounges, where it is possible to access exclusive services such as the “Made to Measure” lines, and the Atelier Collection. To enhance the refined atmosphere in this area, special details have been added, such as the Service bell to call for sales assistance and the striking bar area with white statuary-marble panelled walls and steel mesh.

NAOMI CAMPBELL
WEARS IMPOSSIBLE LACE

The modern charisma of Naomi for the 2015 F/W campaign

Naomi Campbell wears the same look that closed the Atelier Collection catwalk during the Parisian couture fashion week, photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. A breathtaking ensemble made up of a long night robe and trousers in the "impossible lace". The exclusive theme of the La Perla collection was born from the seemingly impossible task of reproducing a delicate and refined lace that dates back to the early 1900s, found on a vintage market.

The difficulties created by the particularly elaborate design, not suited to the looms used today, were overcome by a maître dentellier from Calais, who injected life into this project, allowing La Perla to add garments as precious as jewels to its Made to Measure line.

The modern charisma of Naomi brings out the uniqueness of the iconic one-piece for 2015, inspired by the shape of a stylised anchor reproduced in golden thread using the soutache technique. This couture interpretation of the world of beachwear forms part of the Atelier Collection and has become a key component of the perfect look for a pool party, teamed with garments such as the sahariana jacket in silk organza.

F/W 2015: THE ADV CAMPAIGN

Three shades of femininity and three personal, unmistakable styles in this new chapter for La Perla.

Natasha Poly, Isabeli Fontana and Liu Wen. Three shades of femininity and three personal, unmistakable styles in this new chapter for La Perla. The Autumn/Winter 2015 campaign offers a refined selection of lingerie, loungewear and beachwear, matched with exclusive creations from the La Perla Atelier Collection. The range of looks has been designed to play with layering, sheer effects, lightweight fabrics such as lace, silk and tulle, and gold and diamond jewel details.

Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott have been chosen once again to express this epitome of elegance, sensuality and luxury through the contemporary intensity of their photographic approach, under the artistic direction of Fabien Baron.

The magnetism of the bright green eyes and chiselled cheekbones of Natasha Poly mark her outstanding beauty that shines through, enhanced by the appeal of black, sapphire blue silk and pure white. This top model has already paraded her elegant charisma opening the catwalks of the Atelier collection fashion show during the Haute Couture event in Paris, just like another of the stars of the A/W 2015 campaign, Isabeli Fontana. The sensuality of her Latin roots, a star in the international fashion world, bring out the couture art of every garment, tailor-made to suit the figure. Chinese super model Liu Wen also confirms her role as one of the main faces of the brand, now considered to be a true ambassador of La Perla style in East Asia.

Model Richard Biedul joins these three ladies, himself having represented the La Perla masculine world for the last two seasons, presenting a refined blend of garments creating a balance between intimacy and free time. This is an area of style which La Perla is exploring with ever greater conviction in all of its collections.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Stars and socialites gathered to celebrate the relaunch of the flagship USA Madison Avenue La Perla store in New York.

Special guest Olivia Palermo joined the festivities wearing the matching Complements suit jacket and trousers in black, finished effortlessly with the Sling Back Sandals. DJing at the event, entrepreneur Hannah Bronfman stunned in the Luxury Chain dress whilst singer Snoh Aalegra performed her latest songs wearing the Atelier Collection Frames top, Daily Design bra and Allure shorts. Other guests at the event included Natalia Beber, Kelly Bensimon, Anastasia Ganias, Bridget Helene, Julie Henderson, Laura Michelle Kelly, Cory Kennedy and Jeremy Kost.

The New York flagship boutique features the iconic new concept created by Italian architect Roberto Baciocchi. Marble archways, weaves of tulle and gold metallic mesh panels flatter the colour décor of delicate amethyst. The store’s feminine design contrasts with the area dedicated for the men’s collection, distinguished by granite frames and sophisticated blue rugs.

Following the Madison Avenue store relaunch, the newly relocated La Perla boutique at Bal Harbour is the next to feature the new concept design, soon to be followed by a new opening in Houston.

WE ARE SHOCKED BY THE TRAGEDY

Paris - 13 November 2015

All La Perla boutiques and stores in Paris will be closed today as our sign of respect and solidarity.

LA PERLA BEACHWEAR COLLECTION

The spring/summer 2015 beachwear collection follows two branches of style: essentiality and decor, and shares the lingerie collection's quest for new couture interpretations.

Soutache is one of the cult la perla techniques and, in this collection, is interpreted in two different versions: the alluringly irregular hand-crafted twists with interwoven bands provide ethnic touches that meet sartorial elegance; and the modern appeal of the thin microfibre strings that move freely for a very refined look.

The luxurious nervures, small three-dimensional hand-crafted pleats, are used here in a beachwear range to create graphic, essential bikinis and swimsuits. Essentiality transforms into elegance in swimsuits, where a special technique moves away from traditional stitching and enhances these designs, studied to create a slimmer feminine figure. A golden plaque with an engraved logo adds a flash of light to every garment and marks its place in the la perla collections. For those who love unstructured, essential garments, there are bikinis and swimsuits with laser cuts that define the figure, veiled with a layer of tulle.

The optical illusions that distinguish the lingerie collection find their voice in the beachwear collection too. Embroidery in golden thread reproduces the houndstooth motif that creates a chain effect; layering two types of thermally bonded microfibre creates the effect of snakeskin scales.

PASSION BALL 2015

La Perla Atelier hits the catwalk at the Charity Gala in Singapore

The Passion Ball is a charity gala that aims to collect funds to support “Food from the Heart”, an organisation which distributes food to families in need. This fixture in Singapore's social calendar has seen unique pieces from prestigious brands take centre stage this year, brands like Audemars Piguet, La Sanchaya Resort and La Perla, with the items being auctioned off for charity. La Perla donated a silk-satin slip adorned with golden thread embroidery from the La Perla Maison Gold Edition collection.

Having reached its 11th year, the Passion Ball, which is organised by Olga Iserlis, confirmed itself as one of the most prestigious events on the Asian fund-raising scene, as well as surprising and dazzling the invitees with a presentation of exclusive La Perla creations.

The gala found the perfect location in the form of the St. Regis Hotel for the fashion show featuring the La Perla Atelier 2015 collection, presented for the first time in Paris in January 2015 during the Haute Couture week. The key concept for the collection is Inside/Out, a contemporary perspective combining sensuality and elegance, using layers which hide and reveal. Lingerie and beachwear evolve into clothing with see-through effects that play with light.

ESPRIT D'ATELIER

MILAN – DESIGN WEEK 2015

SARTORIAL SOUL BECOMES A DESIGN THEME

The sartorial soul that characterises the La Perla collections is the creative spark that has given life to the ESPRIT D'ATELIER project. This new piece of furniture was created by designer Walter Terruso exclusively for La Perla and it will take pride of place in the window display of the La Perla Boutique in Via Montenapoleone during the 2015 edition of Milan Design Week.

A wave of small folds of silk satin create a suggestive 3D effect, inspired by one of the cult La Perla techniques: nervures, a key theme in the sophisticated Spring/Summer 2015 lingerie and beachwear creations.

ESPRIT D’ATELIER has been designed as a multi-functional piece to be used as a pouffe or coffee table and also reflects the allure of La Perla in its satin ribbon fastened with the same golden hook as the exclusive pieces from the Atelier Collection 2015, presented in Paris during the Haute Couture show. Its shape echoes the sinuous lines of the female body, making it versatile and usable in various combinations.

The range of colours includes the most symbolic shades from La Perla: black, white, nude, red and blue.
