    THE CLASSIC BRA

This bra is characterized by cups that almost completely cover the breasts, by central straps and by a shaped and high back. It can be underwire or not, whereas the cups can be with or without padding. If there is no padding, the cups are usually lined so as to give more support to the breasts.
Who For: The presence of cups that give control, inner lining, wide straps and a shaped and high back make this model ideal for larger breasts which require firm support and control.

    THE TRIANGLE BRA

The evolution of the triangle bra: two strips of lace cover the central part of the breasts and resemble a pair of male braces. And exclusive model launched by La perla in summer 2001, which can also make a claim to fame in the cinema industry as it was worn by Rebecca Romijn in the film "Femme Fatale" by Brian de Palma.
Both the neckline and the cups are of triangular shape. The straps are central, the back is low and unshaped.
Who For: Although traditionally suitable for those with small breasts, today there are models that thanks to an internal support structure, offer greater wearability.

    THE PUSH-UP BRA

This bra is characterized by a special slant of the cups and it highlights the breasts by pushing them up and together. The padding, total or just in the lower half of the cup, forms a rounded shape and greatly increases the proportions.
Who For: It's the ideal solution for those who wish to enhance their décolleté as it has the effect of adding almost one extra size.

    THE BANDEAU BRA

It is, by definition, strapless or with removable straps: its cups cover the breasts in a horizontal fashion, the back is high and it can be with or without padding. It is often trimmed with silicone borders which make it easier to wear, preventing it from slipping.
Who For: This type of bra is perfect under strapless dresses or those with very thin straps.

    PRE-SHAPED BRA

This process can be used for all types of bras with or without underwire and with or without padding.
A special technique is used, utilizing heat on metal moulds to shape the fabric in such a way that the cup doesn't need to be modeled by means of cuts or seams.
The absence of seams on the cups and the rounded shape makes this type of bra particularly suitable for wearing underneath lightweight, transparent or close-fitting fabrics.

    BUSTIER

Descended from the old-style corset, with whalebones replaced by softer supports that go down to the waist leaving the hips free.
It highlights the breasts utilizing underwire cups that offer support.
Today the bustier is used in its strapless form as an undergarment substitute for the bra worn under strapless or low cut apparel.
It is also worn as outerwear with or without straps comprised of fabrics such as satin-lycra, velvet etc.
Particularly suitable for those who want to increase the fullness of a slender bust with a thin waistline.
In the outerwear version the final effect is particularly spectacular and feminine as it models the body like a sculpture.

    BRIEFS

An obligatory pendant of the bra, they can be high, medium or low cut depending on the hip shape.

    BRAZILLIAN BRIEF

Reduced in size both at the front and the back and narrows the hip to a thin strip of fabric.

    THONG

Briefs with very reduced dimensions at the back leaving the buttocks completely bare.

    BOYSHORT

In the more classical version they completely cover the hips and the buttocks or the upper part of the thigh. Several versions exist, however, sportier or utterly sexy versions with a g-string or short skirt or cut-out on the hips.

    BODY SUIT

Appeared in the early '70s and became widespread in particularly the following decade becoming an alternative to the classical coordinate of briefs and bra. The lingerie body suit is extremely versatile: it can be made of lace or tulle or smooth and concealing fabrics: there are various possibilities of leg cuts and styles, including the g-string, and it is characterized by the structure of the cups. It can be classic or in blaconnet or triangle style. The sexiest and most spectacular interpretations have been created in the last few years with plunging necklines, cut-outs on the side and design styles.

    GARTER BELT

Made of a band that goes around the waist with four pieces of elastic (or metal hooks) hanging down to which stockings are then attached. La Perla has contributed to the evolution of what, today more than ever before, can be considered as the item of seduction par excellence, by exclusively creating a number of innovative models: these include the corset, the g-string, the micro-skirt and the short slip with incorporated suspender belt.

  • How to Measure

    Note:

We recommend wearing a non padded bra and holding ones arms straight down at their side while measuring.

    STEP 1.
    MEASURE FOR BAND SIZE

This is the circumference around your rib cage.
Holding a measuring tape parallel to the ground, measure around your rib cage directly under your bust after exhaling.
Round the measurement to the nearest whole number.
If the measurement is even numbered, add 4" to obtain your band size.
If the measurement is odd numbered, add 5" to obtain your band size.

    STEP 2.
    MEASURE FOR CUP SIZE

Keeping the measuring tape parallel to the ground, measure at the fullest part of your bust.
Round the measurement to the nearest whole number.

    STEP 3.
    CALCULATE YOUR BRA SIZE

Subtract the band size measurement from the cup size measurement.
For every inch in difference the cup size goes up one size starting at A for one inch difference.

    EXAMPLE:

Step 1: if your rib cage measurement is 30" add 4" to determine a band size of 34"
Step 2: cup size measurement is 36"
    Bra size = 34 B

  • Care Instructions

    GENERAL RECOMMENDED CARE

For best results wash garments by hand.
For best results hand wash in warm water with gentle liquid soap.
We recommend Ivory liquid soap or baby shampoo.
To dry, simply hang dry or lay flat on a towel.

    BRAS

Do not put bras in the washing machine.
Every underwire bra has a protective rubber tip, which protects the garment and one's skin from being exposed to the sharp edge of the wire.
After being circulated in a washing machine the fabric rubs again the rubber tip wearing out the tip and the fabric, often causing the wire to become exposed.
Do not put bras in the dryer.
The heat will melt the rubber and distort the shape of the wire.
The cups of padded and pre-molded bras will also be damaged in the washing machine and dryer.

    SWIMWEAR

Swimwear should be washed with care.
For best results hand wash in warm water with gentle liquid soap.
We recommend Ivory liquid soap or baby shampoo.
To dry, simply hang dry or lay flat on a towel.
Do not put swimwear in the dryer. If there is rubber in the cups it will melt and the suit will shrink.
If your swimwear is exposed to chlorine or salt water, be sure to thoroughly rinse with fresh water after wear. If not, the salt or chemical residue can damage the material over time.

    SLEEPWEAR

Please read all garment care labels carefully.
Some garments specify dry clean/ specialty care only.
Otherwise hand washing according to the above method and air drying is recommended.
You may use a cool iron or steamer to remove wrinkles remaining after drying.

    SILK

Do not put any silk garments in the washing machine or dryer or the fabric may be damaged.
