  La Perla showcased its Spring 2012 collection during New York Fashion Week with a Valentine’s Day inspired event. The new collection was unveiled via models and vintage La Perla pieces that have never been seen before from each decade and showed the evolution of the brand to the current collection. A special piece from the 50s when the company was started was shown along with the 60s that reflects when La Perla was the first to introduce colors in lingerie; the 70s shows more intricate motifs with florals and woven patterns; the 80s has the bodysuits for the "power woman" and the 90’s brings us to more of the current day collection.
