La Perla Celebrates the New Yorkers for Children Gala
La Perla celebrated New Yorkers for Children at the 10th Annual Spring Dinner Dance- New Year's in April: A Fool's Fete Presented by Valentino on April 9th, 2013 at the Mandarin Oriental, raising a record high of over $625,000 to benefit youth in foster care in NYC. Thank you Julie Henderson (wearing La Perla), Cameron Silver, Alyssa Miller, Jessica Sailer, Berry Bloomingdale, Steve Keller, Eugenia Gonzalez and Allison and Jay Aston for joining our CEO Suzy Biszantz and Director of Retail Jenny Holmes.

La Perla Debuts Fall 2013 Collection at NYFW
La Perla presented the Fall/Winter 2013 collection on February 7th, 2013 during a presentation at The Gallery at Dream Downtown. Designer Giovanni Bianchi drew inspiration from late 1930s Spain. Spain, known as a country full of deep desires and a passion for life, fires up La Perla’s F/W 2013 collection by conveying the Spanish soul’s rhythm where traditional and contemporary design, art, and bullfighting combine. The dramatic glamour of the "traje de luz," the jacket worn by legendary bullfighters, serves as a strong theme throughout the lace, tulle and silk creations inspired by Goya’s intense color palette. The collection embodies the essence of a style that knows how to "play with fire" while preserving its elegance.
Fall 2013 marks the re-launch of Black Label, La Perla’s high luxury label initially established in 2003. "The Art of Eros,” or the erotic side of art serves as an intriguing theme, evoking the relationship between early 1900s fashion and Surrealism. Small whimsical macramé bows bestow a sexy and playful touch to the totally transparent tulle garments. Criss-crossed laces, satin inserts and originally revisited bustier whalebones make these creations truly sensual architectures.
In attendance were celebrities and La Perla fans including Kelly Rutherford, Olivia Palermo, Rachel Roy, Gilles Mendel, Zoe Kravitz, Julie Henderson, DJ David Katz.

La Perla Celebrates the Holidays and Avenue Cover with Amanda Hearst
La Perla celebrated the holidays and the Avenue December cover with Amanda Hearst at the Madison Avenue boutique. Models showcased the latest lingerie for the holiday season, while guest enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres through the evening. Guests included Suzy Biszantz, CEO North America La Perla, Amanda Hearst, Petra Nemcova, Rachle Roy, Muffie Potter Aston, Cameron Silver, Cheryl Cason, Gillian Miniter, Luigi Tadini, Randi Schatz, Daisy Prince, Casey Freemont Crowe, with many more in attendance. The boutique also supported Amanda Hearst's charity, The Humane Society US' Friends of Finn, where a percentage of sale proceeds were donated.

La Perla & Jason Wu Collaboration
La Perla & Jason Wu hosted a cocktail party at The Top of the Standard to celebrate the Jason Wu Spring/Summer 2013 collection. Jason Wu used inspiration from Helmut Newton’s notoriously seductive photographs to show a flirtier and more provocative sensibility. He enlisted La Perla to add a sexy touch to his super-feminine collection.

Milan Design Week
For the 51st Edition of the Milan International Furniture Show, from April17th to the 22nd, the Spazio La Perla of 27 Via Tortona, participated at the FuoriSalone by setting up Frammenti/Fragments, which arose from the collaboration with the architect Silvio De Ponte and his DPSA+D Studio.
The project revolves around the "fractal" concept, a modular element that multiplies generating a unique and homogeneous whole. This fragment is the starting point for a complete project where the textures are created to spread across the space of the La Perla Showroom, beginning with a single module just like the patterns in lace. This is a mesmerising multiplication which opens up creating multifunctional surfaces, invigorating the senses.

Madison Valentine's Day Event
La Perla showcased its Spring 2012 collection during New York Fashion Week with a Valentine’s Day inspired event. The new collection was unveiled via models and vintage La Perla pieces that have never been seen before from each decade and showed the evolution of the brand to the current collection. A special piece from the 50s when the company was started was shown along with the 60s that reflects when La Perla was the first to introduce colors in lingerie; the 70s shows more intricate motifs with florals and woven patterns; the 80s has the bodysuits for the "power woman" and the 90’s brings us to more of the current day collection.

Madison Boutique Event
La Perla’s Madison Avenue boutique hosted a special shopping event to celebrate the holiday season and in-store launch of the new La Perla Jean Paul Gaultier Collection Createur. La Perla partnered with the Phyllis and David Komansky Center for Children’s Health to donate 10% of profits from the evening. A few of the guests shopping for a cause and previewing the new collection included Rachel Roy, Cameron Silver, and Allison Aston, along with other special guests and members of the Komansky Center.
Serving pediatric patients from around the world, the Komansky Center is a full-service children’s hospital providing comprehensive care from diagnosis to recovery in general pediatrics, emergency medicine, and the full range of medical and surgical subspecialties. The Komansky Center is listed on the 2011-2012 US News & World Report’s Best Children's Hospitals Honor Roll and is affiliated with Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Models posed in the window wearing the new lingerie, which features laser-perforated leather and signature Leavers lace, while other models showcased the first Jean Paul Gaultier swim collection, including bondage inspired designs with transitional pieces.

Languid Night
Sixties fashion was not only euphoric and revolutionary, but it changed with the notion that elegance can be achieved through nonchalance. To express the carefree attitude of the decade, lightweight fabrics, lace, and chiffon are enlivened by bright pastels like mimosa yellow and sky blue. The idea of flower power is conveyed through patterns of roses and daisies, while the clean lines recall the sophisticated signature style of Jackie O., with a mix of bon ton and freshness.
The swimwear collection is inspired by the energetic colors of Pop Art, the bold shapes inspired by the famous Mondrian dress, and Andy Warhol’s psychedelic flowers. Just as with the lingerie, the beachwear continues to follow the upbeat and euphoric attitudes of the 60’s.
