THE NEW COLLECTION CREATEUR JOINS LINGERIE AND BEACHWEAR

The collaboration between Jean Paul Gaultier and La Perla has reached a new creative chapter: an exclusive, inspiring "Collection Créateur” that brings the sunbathing seduction of beachwear couture to the lingerie world.
Once again the unmistakable and unparalleled style of Jean Paul Gaultier encounters the "body know-how” that is the essence of the La Perla DNA. The lingerie collection plays with a whole mix of fabrics. Very fine netting, produced with the Calais looms almost like hand cut lace, is then gathered together to create ruffles as fine as foam for bra cups and panties. Baby doll and slips continue in a deliciously "bubbly” style with alternating ruffles and smooth netting giving the "nude look” effect.
Three colours: black, nude and fuchsia.

The star of this lingerie world is laser-perforated leather matched with precious Leavers lace that has a delightful netting background. When these two materials merge together, a seductive osmosis occurs in garments such as the bustier with lace up back closure, the balconnet bra, the whimsical shorts and the soft leather figure-hugging dress.
We shouldn’t forget the bustier that becomes a special accessory worn on the jersey and lace slip with a stunning effect.
For sheer femininity, the colours chosen are a true declaration of love: black and powder pink.

The new beachwear collection opts for an extremely theatrical style. Elastics resemble grosgrain, one of the most representative elements of the construction of the haute couture outfits, which when alternated with horizontal strips of nude colour tulle on Lycra create a "trompe l’oeil” effect. A stand out is the one-piece swimsuit with soft draping and the provocative bikini that can be transformed into a three-piece outfit if worn with a matching waist cincher belt.
The colours enhance the tailoring allure of these creations: white, blue, black, turquoise.

Finally, a small selection of swimsuits taking inspiration from bondage-style. A dangerously sexy mood outlines the body with strings, criss-crosses and little studs, which become "couture” thanks to the delightful draping that shapes the Lycra. Alongside the eternal black are flaming shades of orange and the energetic khaki green.

The collection was presented to the international press on 7th July 2011 in Paris in the sumptuous Salon Foch at the Cercle de L’Union Interalliée during the Haute Couture week.
