BEACHWEAR ART
A snapshot of the 1980s look, reworked with the creative influence of cutting edge artistic developments and design. A collection characterized by pure color, by sensual and conscious couture exhibitionism. Swimsuits like works of art sculptured onto the body, generating emotions of colour and which have eye-catching workings such as a new, extremely modern two-colour interpretation of soutache. There are also effects created with light and crystals, abstract graphic designs like reproductions of digital art, pop-effect maxi-chains, iridescent Lycra and macro-size jewel details. It’s a visionary journey through material and visual experimentation. For a sensational summer.
COLOURS
A visually striking palette, which mixes new wave and pop. Yellow, cornflower blue, ochre, violet, emerald green, red, black and white.
IRIDESCENT STYLE
“Sculptured” swimsuits and bikinis catch the eye thanks to the elegance of the drapes and the original styling. The use of new, even more sophisticated materials, such as a special iridescent Lycra, bring out the Couture style. To be combined, at the side of the pool, with kaftans in extremely soft viscose/silk crepe.
GRAPHIC SOUTACHE
One of La Perla’s most sophisticated and distinctive workings returns as the main feature of the collection: soutache. It loses its Baroque origins and is reinterpreted in a design style, with a really modern feel. It’s based on a renewed, almost geometric styling, and a choice of “strong” colours. They are in the forefront in the two-colour proposals, also in the completely reversible double version. Cult garment: the shiny patent leather bustier tightened at the waist.
GEOMETRIC EMBROIDERY
Enamelled cabochons, iridescent crystals and metal plates create a sparkling embroidery in the various shades of grey. The embroidery is striking and dazzling, especially in the all-over version in the bikini with a jewel top and lamé-effect coated microfibre bottom.
Another eye-catching embroidery, made with iridescent crystals arranged in geometric rows, creates an original mosaic effect.
RESIN DETAILS
A coup de theatre. Hypnotic and sophisticated. A shiny resin jewel modelled to exclusive La Perla designs that become a design-necklace on the most refined beach sets. In black, on all the colours of the sampling range. Focus on: the sculpture-bustier entirely sculpted on rigid resin whalebones and completed with a Lycra band to wear over the breast.
Absolute black is also used for another “design” detail: an opaque stone polished by the sea and by the wind, from which an elegant draping effect is created.
MAGIC SEQUINS
Sequins are the main feature of two jewel bikinis. Turned in on themselves, they create a bright “scales” effect. Alternatively, they generate refined graded nuances.
DIGITAL EFFECTS
A flower depicted by crystal splinters, like a photogram taken from Digital Art. It's a print that uses fragments of colour and very striking optical effects.
CHAIN PRINT
Chains, chains and more chains. In an X-size version, they are the leitmotif of a pattern halfway between pictorial technique and photographic realism.
